Reading time · 9 min·Updated June 30, 2026

ZYN® comes in 10 flavors in the US line and 14 flavors in the ZYN Slim European Edition line, with several overlapping names. The US line ships mint, wintergreen, spearmint, peppermint, menthol, chill, smooth, citrus, coffee, and cinnamon at 3mg and 6mg per pouch. The European Edition adds apple mint, gentle mint, lemon spritz, cucumber lime, watermelon mint, black cherry, red fruits, red berry fizz, blackcurrant ice, menthol ice, and violet licorice at 6mg up to 16.5mg. Nicotine pouches are for adults 21 and older. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.

ZYN flavor lineup: Cool Mint, Wintergreen, Citrus, Coffee, plus Slim European Edition Watermelon Mint and Red Fruits
A sample across the ZYN range: US mints and non-mints plus two Slim European Edition fruit flavors.

Nico Pouches is an independent retailer. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Swedish Match or Philip Morris International. This guide covers what each flavor actually tastes like, how the US and European lines differ, and how to pick a flavor by preference rather than by guessing off a shelf.

How ZYN flavors are grouped

The catalog splits three ways. First, the mint family, which is where most orders land. Second, the non-mint flavors like citrus, coffee, and cinnamon. Third, a set of flavors that only exist in the ZYN Slim European Edition, mostly fruit-driven, plus a couple of stronger mint and menthol variants that go beyond the US strength range.

Every flavor in the US line is available at 3mg and 6mg. Every flavor in the Slim European Edition sits somewhere in the 6mg to 16.5mg range, with individual flavors stocked at different strength tiers. See the full ZYN collection for stock across both lines.

ZYN mint flavors

The mint family is the core of the brand. Seven distinct mint or mint-adjacent options, each with its own character.

  • Cool Mint. Sharp peppermint with a steady cool finish. The single most popular ZYN in the US. Not sweet, not menthol-heavy. If you have never tried the brand, start here. Product: ZYN Cool Mint 6mg.
  • Spearmint. Softer and sweeter than Cool Mint. Reads closer to spearmint gum than to mouthwash. Lighter cooling. A common pick for adult users who find peppermint too sharp.
  • Peppermint. The sharper end of the mint family. Louder peppermint character, heavier cooling than Cool Mint. Good if you want the flavor to read loud.
  • Wintergreen. Not really mint. Sweet, rounded, methyl salicylate driven. Familiar to anyone who grew up around dip and chew. Less sharp than peppermint, more sugar than menthol.
  • Menthol. Built around cooling, not flavor sweetness. The coldest ZYN in the lineup, with a clean, almost dry finish and no candy note.
  • Chill. Very light flavor with a strong cool sensation. Effectively an unflavored cooling pouch for adult users who want the sensation without a taste identity.
  • Smooth. Unflavored. No mint, no cooling, no citrus. Just the pouch and the nicotine. The plainest option in the line.

All seven ship in the standard 15-count Mini Dry can at 3mg or 6mg. Cross-shop the mint category at mint nicotine pouches.

ZYN non-mint flavors

Three flavors sit outside the mint family in the US line.

  • Citrus. Lemon and lime blended, slightly more lemon. Tart up front, light sweetness in the middle, clean finish. The main fruit-leaning option in the US line. Cross-shop at citrus nicotine pouches.
  • Coffee. Roasted coffee bean flavor with a light background sweetness. Not a mocha or a latte, more like the flavor of a plain espresso pull. Cross-shop at coffee nicotine pouches.
  • Cinnamon. Warm, slightly spicy red cinnamon, in the family of a cinnamon candy or a cinnamon toothpaste rather than a bakery cinnamon roll.

All three at 3mg and 6mg, 15 per can. Coffee and Cinnamon are the two flavors that most reliably split the room. Adult users tend to love them or skip them entirely.

ZYN Slim European Edition flavors

The European Edition is a separate product: slim moist pouches, 20 per can, and a wider flavor range that goes above the US 6mg cap. Cool Mint, Spearmint, and Citrus overlap with the US line by name. The flavors below are the ones that only exist in the European Edition.

  • Apple Mint. Crisp green apple up front, clean mint on the finish. Not a candy apple. Stocked at 9mg and 11mg.
  • Gentle Mint. A softer-mint reading than Cool Mint. Less cooling, more rounded mint leaf. 6mg only.
  • Lemon Spritz. Sparkling lemon soda profile. Tart and bright with a light fizz character on the back end. No alcohol in the pouch. 6mg only.
  • Cucumber Lime. Cool cucumber with a lime edge. Crisper and greener than Lemon Spritz. 6mg only.
  • Watermelon Mint. Ripe watermelon with a mint anchor. Sweeter than most of the range, kept in check by the mint. 6mg.
  • Black Cherry. Dark, ripe cherry, more compote than candy cherry. 9mg.
  • Red Fruits. Mixed red berries: strawberry lead with raspberry and a touch of currant behind it. 6mg and 9mg.
  • Red Berry Fizz. Red berry blend with a sparkling finish, similar in structure to Lemon Spritz but on the berry side. 6mg, 9mg, and 11mg.
  • Blackcurrant Ice. Dark, tart blackcurrant with a hard cool finish. Sits at 11mg and 13.5mg.
  • Menthol Ice. Heavier menthol than the US Menthol, with a colder finish. Ships at 11mg, 13.5mg, and 16.5mg. The 16.5mg Ultra Strong tier is the top of the ZYN strength ladder.
  • Violet Licorice. A classic Nordic profile: floral violet with a soft licorice base. Not sold in the US line. 6mg and 9mg.

See the full range at ZYN Slim European Edition. A common starting point for adult users trying the European line is Red Berry Fizz 6mg.

Which ZYN flavor should you pick

Pick by what you actually want in your mouth, not by what sounds interesting on the shelf.

  • You want classic cooling, no surprises. Cool Mint. If you find Cool Mint too tame, try Peppermint. If you find it too sharp, try Spearmint.
  • You want the coldest option. US Menthol, or the European Menthol Ice if you want it stronger.
  • You want no flavor at all. Smooth if you want nothing, Chill if you want cooling but no flavor identity.
  • You grew up around dip or chew. Wintergreen tends to be the closest reference point.
  • You want sweet or fruit. Look at the European Edition: Red Fruits, Red Berry Fizz, Black Cherry, Watermelon Mint. The US line does not have a true fruit pouch.
  • You want something warm. Coffee or Cinnamon. Both split opinion, both are worth a single can before committing to a multi-pack.
  • You want a rotation set. Cool Mint plus one non-mint (Citrus or Coffee) plus one European fruit is a common three-flavor rotation for adult users.

This is preference guidance based on flavor character. It is not dosing or health advice.

ZYN flavors by strength

Strength availability differs sharply between the US line and the European Edition.

If you want to filter the shop by strength rather than flavor, jump to 3mg, 6mg, or 11mg directly. For a full tier-by-tier walkthrough of every ZYN strength from 3mg up to 16.5mg, see our ZYN strengths guide. For the strongest options across every brand, see strongest nicotine pouches.

Bringing it together

ZYN's flavor catalog is deeper than the shelf at a convenience store suggests. The US line covers the mint core and a small set of non-mints. The Slim European Edition adds fruit, sparkling, and stronger cooling profiles the US line does not stock, and it opens up the strength range from 6mg all the way to 16.5mg. Pick by flavor family first, then by strength. If you are new to the brand, one Cool Mint 6mg and one non-mint or European fruit is a good two-can starting order.
